Welcome to my corner of love, celebration and unity! I'm Sheneil Black, your proud Minister in the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry and Wedding Officiant.

Love is Love here, and I'm thrilled to shout it from the rooftops!

Inclusivity

As a joyful LGBTQ2S+ ally, I stand with all couples, celebrating their unique love stories. At my ceremonies, all faiths are welcome with open arms, including the rich and beautiful traditions of Indigenous communities. It would be my absolute honour to weave in any religious or cultural ritual or prayer that holds meaning for you. As a wedding officiant who embraces diversity and fosters inclusivity, I believe love knows no boundaries. So, let's create a ceremony that reflects your love, your way. Because every couple deserves to be supported on their journey, no matter their community, faith, or culture.

“We need to understand the land as Indigenous Peoples do, as a source of life, not a resource”

Land Acknowledgement

I respectfully acknowledge that Durham Region, the land on which I live and work are located on the traditional and treaty territories of the Nations covered under the Williams Treaties, including the Mississauga’s of Scugog Island First Nation, Alderville First Nation, Hiawatha First Nation, Curve Lake First Nation, and the Chippewa Nations of Georgina Island, Beausoleil and Rama.

These lands were inhabited by these Indigenous peoples for thousands of years prior to European colonization. With that, I recognize and honour the enduring presence, deep traditional knowledge, and philosophies of the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land for generations. I recognize that this recognition is an important step in respecting and honouring the calls to action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. However, I understand that further efforts are needed to promote meaningful reconciliation and show respect for Indigenous communities.
